ST FIDELIS BASKETBALL CLUB

We are a 53 team strong community-based junior basketball club in the Merri-bek area, Victoria, competing in the Coburg Basketball Association.​ St Fidelis Basketball Club was established in 1985 and is now run independently from the parish of the same name.

NEW PLAYERS

We have teams in our club for all genders ranging from under 8 to under 20. Having experience is never a pre-requisite.

WHEN IS GAME TIME AND TRAINING?

There are two seasons per year. The winter season runs over terms 2/3 while the summer season runs over teams 4/1.

Games are played on Saturdays (2x 20 minute halves) at Coburg Basketball Stadium and around the Merri-bek area, including Northcote, Coburg, Pascoe Vale and Pascoe Vale South, Glenroy, Dallas and Preston.

Training is once per week for 45-60 minutes after school. We train at Coburg West Primary School, Brunswick Stadium, Brunswick Secondary College, Strathmore Secondary College and St John's College.

Our coaches are all volunteers, often current players or parents - some of whom also play and coach at higher levels. The club works to develop our coaches skill's through Basketball Victoria courses and sharing training resources and knowledge.
